After the evaluation of the results of the International Color Quality Club 2020–2022 (ICQC) competition for newspapers and magazines, eligible new members are joining the WAN-IFRA Star Club of elite printers.

The Star Club has been inaugurated at IFRA exhibition in Hamburg in 2010. Membership is presented to a printing company in recognition of outstanding printing quality if it achieves five or more stars by participating successfully in the International Color Quality Club or by obtaining WAN-IFRA certification for standardised printing.

One Star is awarded for each successful ICQC participation in a competition year, independent of the number of successful entries. Two Stars are awarded for the successful WAN-IFRA certification of a printing plant. Certification is valid for two years, after which it can be renewed.

Ingi olafsson, WAN-IFRA’s Director said: “The successful participation in the International Color Quality Club is already a great achievement. But to successfully prove consistently high print quality over many years is what distinguishes those printers who provide their customers with only the best print products. We welcome the new Star Club members!”

This year 09 new members are joining the Star Club “Hall of fame, which now counts 61 members in total. New members come from Finland, Germany,  India,  and UAE. Also a new premium club category called "MILLENNIUM STARS" are added for the unique publication of a printing plant who achieved 10+ stars in their life time.
