Menno Jansen, Chairman of Q.I. Press Controls with Markus Brehm, Director of Allgäuer Zeitungsverlag and Karl Gasser, Managing Director of Rotasystem Service.

Oosterhout, 08.05.12 - 'Old love never dies' is the saying. That is also what happened with Allgäuer Zeitungsverlag’s director, Markus Brehm. Supported by long-standing positive experiences with Q.I. Press Controls’ IRS closed loop colour register on the existing newspaper press, it was recently decided to fit the new Colorman e:line with Q.I. Press Controls’ quality equipment too.

When the new Colorman e:line will come into operation at Algäuer Zeitungsverlag GmbH in Kempten, Allgäu-Germany, it will be fitted with IDS equipment for both sides of the four full-colour webs. Next to that the closed loop colour register will run, controlled entirely by the new mRC system of Q.I. Press Controls. This order for Q.I. Press Controls shows a satisfying collaboration, nurtured and developed over the years by both companies. Based on his personal experiences as one of Q.I. Press Controls' first customers, Allgäuer Zeitungsverlag’s Markus Brehm, Director of Allgäuer Zeitungsverlag, says: "We like Q.I. Press Controls' approach and solutions, they're highly reliable. One notices the value of partnership being able to support each other in realising the return on such investments. We will now enter a new collaboration phase, with a wider technology deployment then before. We're looking forward to it!"

Q.I. Press Controls' management is equally happy. Especially the fact that Q.I. Press Controls’ IDS and mRC equipment will contribute to the success of Allgäuer Zeitungsverlag’s future-oriented Colorman e:line makes it exciting. "We're ready to show them what we can do on this new type of Colorman. IDS and mRC have undoubtedly proven themselves in similar situations. Allgäuer Zeitungsverlag will certainly benefit from those experiences on the new e:line Colorman”, confirms Menno Jansen, Chairman of Q.I. Press Controls. He concludes: “Our agent in Germany, Karl Gasser of Rotasysteem, played an important part in this project.”

Allgäuer Zeitungsverlag’s e:line Colorman comprises four 4-high printing towers, two folders and four reel splicers. During the course of this year, this innovative e:line system will be fitted with eight IDS scanning cameras, plus underlying processors and corresponding IQM reporting system. Furthermore, 36 mRC-cameras will operate and control the colour and cut-off register of four printing webs and a total of sixteen ribbons. All those camera systems will soon make a positive difference on the output quality and productivity of Allgäuer Zeitungsverlag’s new Colorman e:line!
